Man on the Moon Conspiracy

I thought finding information on this topic was really interesting and easy to find. All of the things that NASA was accused of had proof that the accusation was incorrect. Overall, this was the most fun project to learn about out of all of the research I've done on these astronomy topics.

Life on Other Planets-Lian A.

Finding information for this topic was sort of easy because there was a lot of web pages about life on other planets. Although, some websites had very strange ideas about extra terrestrial life. The most interesting thing I discovered is that Venus may have had a type of life form on it, but they were burned up by the increasing--and damaging-- heat of the Sun.

Allie H: Life on Other Planets Essay

One piece of information that I found interesting was that there is thought to be an ocean of ice under the surface on one of Jupiter's moon, Europa. The research on this topic wasn't very difficult to understand, and easy to gather.

Moon Landing Hoax

This project was fairly easy to research. One good thing about it was that because it is a "conspiracy," I easily found 2 primary sources. I found two interviews; one from Buzz Aldrin and the other from a man named Bill Kaysing. Kaysing was one of the first men to doubt the landing of the moon. This topic was interesting, but my favorite still remains UFOs!

What was interesting about his research is the evidence to prove that the landing was a myth was quite interesting. I also found out how to prove that evidence wrong. A new fact that I learned was that lunar means moon, and when the rocket takes off from the landing module, it has an invisible flame.

I think this was an interesting topic to research. What I liked about it was that it was very easy to find the information. I also learned that Mars has water on the planet and I thought that the only planet with water on it was Earth.

Wormholes-Jacob Stern

Wormholes, also known as Einstein-Rosen Bridges or white holes, are spacial zones of which some of the least is known. It is a fissure in the fabric of time and space. It could be made by two colliding black holes, providing a rift in the material of space to travel great distances without the restriction of time. If harnessed as a source for space travel, the possibilities and horizons would no longer be limited by time. According to Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity, any mass can affect the scope of time and even light.
~
The idea of a wormhole was first proposed by Albert Einstein working together with Nathan Rosen. It is considered a solution of his theory of general relativity. It could be found at the center of a galaxy, as a black hole is thought to, and attract objects in a similar way, having similar characteristics, and therefore being completely indistinguishable from it.
~
The main issue with this concept for space travel is what is at its center. It would appear that something would be compressed to infinite density as passing through the middle. when viewed in any illustration. The question is whether it could be reassembled in its full form after passing through the wormhole, and be able to function still properly.
~
Another crucial matter is the question of whether you could pass back through the wormhole. Would they be stable enough to support two-way travel? Or would they collapse at the second it recognized your molecular structure? To keep it open it is hypothesized that there would have to have negative energy and pressure, making a substance called exotic matter. Whether or not it exists is debatable.
~
Another question of wormholes is if it would really just take you to another time and place within your dimension. Would you actually be able to reach it if you really wanted too and had lots, and lots, and lots of time? What if it took you to another dimension where you instantly died? Well, if this was the case it could still be beneficial to humans’ industry. If there was some way to transport matter or energy back from another dimension, the potential for new drugs, medicines, compounds – in fact, almost everything – could be expanded and utilized to far greater extent.

I found that not much was known about wormholes but that if more could be found about them they could become very real ways of space travel.

Dark Matter and Dark Energy

I thought it was a litle bit difficult to find information on this topic because all of the sources I went to said that nobody is sure if dark matter and dark energy even exists. Considering that this information is still in the experimental stage, it made this a little bit of a challenge. The information I found was really interesting, though.

Dark Matter and Energy - Karen Y

I found researching dark matter and energy very difficult because there were so many different opinions on it. Once I found a couple of good resources, though, it was much easier.

Greg G. Life On Other Planets

Finding information on this topic was very easy. There are a lot of websites out there for people who want to find out about life on other planets. It's a very interesting topic and I learned a lot of stuff while researching it. The most interesting thing I learned was that life may have started on Venus and then arrived on Earth.
